4th FRAMES OF FREEDOM

In the last few years, India has witnessed multiple people’s movements all over the country against the government's anti-people policies. In particular, the farmers’ protest captured our imagination. A nation battered by a barrage of onslaught against its citizens woke up to a new possibility when the year-long movement forced the government to repeal the Farm bills. This year, for the 4th Edition of the Frames of Freedom Festival, the People’s Film Collective chose Punjab as its theme to honour the movement which gave us a new frame to revive our hopes, struggles, and solidarities.

People's Film Collective presents Frames of Freedom 2022, an all-day film festival on August 15 from 10 am to 9 pm at Uttam Mancha, Hazra.

The Kolkata People’s Film Festival (KPFF), organised by the People's Film Collective (PFC), is a people-supported, independent, volunteer-led cinema festival, showcasing politically committed contemporary documentary and fiction cinema from India and Southasia. It brings together a wide cross-section of audience and filmmakers to interact and form friendships and active camaraderie over films and conversations.
